I was lucky enough to be brought up by two wonderful parents that made me the young man I am today. My mother is a founder of Luna Living, and if you haven’t read her story yet, I suggest you should. Her story hits home to me. Twenty-nine years ago she stopped drinking and started along the path that has brought her to where she is now. I often think about what would have happened if she didn’t stop drinking and she didn’t turn her life in the right direction. It’s a tough thing to think about because I most likely would not be here if she didn’t realize that her life could be worth living. My mother, Wendy, sobered up and with my father created my sister and me and has had what she describes as a life worth living, a life she never dreamed she could have.

When I think about this set of events and where it’s brought my mother and how it affected my existence, I begin to realize the gratification in helping other people create a similar story for themselves. What if one of the people who walks into Luna Living is my mother 30 years ago? What if that person is destined to create a child that will become the next Albert Einstein, or who themselves is the next Albert Einstein? What if their potential could amount to curing the worst diseases known to mankind? All these scenarios make me proud to help create and sustain a new organization committed to helping people with brain diseases people who have the potential to help the world move forward in a positive way. This belief in the true purpose of what Luna Living does is what prompted me to move away from Salt Lake City and back to a city in which I never thought I would live again.

I grew up in Cleveland and graduated from high school with honors a semester early. I then moved to Salt Lake City, Utah in 2012 to begin my undergraduate degree in marketing. When an opportunity arose for a scholarship to study in Germany, I took it and switched my focus from marketing to operations management. In 2015, I graduated a year early at the top of my class from the University of Utah with a Bachelor’s of Science in Operations Management. After traveling the world for some time, I have settled down into the position I occupy now at Luna Living.

I moved to Utah not only to go to school, but for the enormous amount of opportunities for outdoor recreation. I snowboarded around 70 times per year at Snowbird. I traveled to all five of Utah national parks while backpacking, rock climbing, white water rafting, and camping. I play basketball and baseball and I love all sports. I try to spend as much of my time outside as possible. I’ve traveled to Europe and South America and my goal is to travel to every country in the world before I can’t travel anymore. I love seeing the world. Hopefully my dreams become reality, and hopefully yours do too.
